i think i'm going to start calling the people who don't know about older stuff the youtube wave
like we had the wobble wave (chase and status, rusko etc) influx of fans, the mt eden wave (were some of the youtube wave came from, aka you don't need to have a single release in stores to get huge), the "robostep" wave (datsik excision etc blowing up), prolly should include the future garage/house/dungeon and skrillex stuff as well as sorts of waves. but well i'm calling this the youtube wave because i honestly don't know where people are hearing these people's stuff and how they are blowing up as maybe it's just me being old, i've never seen any of these guys names when i shop for music

I'd like someone like 2562 as well, but this is seeking the abrasive sounding producers which is the more popular thing, so pointless to bring it up here yeah...

@Deadly, you mean tumblrwave? :lol: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/ju ... enres-2012

i'm pretty sure objekt might do it if you asked him - seems like he's a good guy and he even still posts with some production stuff from time to time.

loads of other good producers like untold, martyn, appleblim, joe, deadboy, elgato, peverelist, pangaea etc. also have accounts on here but don't use them anymore and most have well and truly left dubstep behind so they're probably out of the question. does 2562 have an account?

i'd be interested in seeing what you guys who championed guys like downlink, datsik, boregore etc would actually ask. aside from 'what synth, effects chain do you use to make robots?'

Great idea! I'd love to see something with Koan Sound. I don't know why but I actually enjoy their(his/hers?) music somewhat!

Hardware, description of workflow, how they bounce ideas off people in a collab, resampling, downlink's dialogue samples on ignition ep, how he gets that ravey sound in emergency so huge sounding, drums, religious convictions on eq, compression, presets, favorite distortions, favorite plugs in general, opinions on what will come next in edm, how they feel about recycling sounds, influences, teebees aim.
