nope, i hate the winter dark. spring/summer dark is wonderful, still buzzing, the air is warm and smells of flowers. lovely.

i love summer in nice hot countries but not here cause summer does not exist here! the weather is schizophrenic. we got 2 mins of sunshine were i live yesterday (i counted) followed by dreich random downpours and it was too windy to go out for a walk anywhere near the sea. not fun at all.

a couple of nice days in may does not equate summer!

In reference to what Garethom said: Exactly, i dont dislike the summer because i "can't take the heat" (i'm asian, heat resistance is in my genes lol) i just hate the general vibes of faux-happiness and forced fun. People like to pretend they're in a good mood because it's what's expected. They fucking flood everywhere for no reason to convince themselves they're having fun.

I guess the reason i hate summer is very personal to me. I generally get into my lowest points in depression during summer, there's always this expectation to be outside drinking lucozade and frolicking in parks, when someone with a boring life (i.e me) doesn't get those opportunities/cant fake an interest.

In winter, it's great, you can take long, frosty walks without tiring and bumping into people, drive around dark, clear roads, take pensive bus journeys or just sit inside listening to tunes as the rain hits your window. Even if you're outside and genuinely uncomfortable with the cold, the reward of coming home into the warmth and cosying up is a pretty great one. I just guess summer isn't in my personality, winter is.

plus personally I don't enjoy darkness and empty streets. it's all too quiet, gets me paranoid and shit.

i love winter around christmas time but as soon as its over i get really depressed and hate all the things that i liked before christmas about winter like snow, cold weather, staying in etc. anyone else get this?

biggest reason i like winter. insomnia is bad enough, theres nights where i cant fall asleep at all when its even remotely warm. not that i like full blown minus degrees winter, but i defo prefer cold to hot.

^ That too, that's the only time heat gets to me. I have a fan on my bed allllll times throughout the year

About the sun thing, i sleep for short hours quite late (~4-9am or when needed) and watching the sun come up after being indoors and awake all night is horrible.

For example, this asshat on youtube keeps going on all mlp channels, and posts some rude shit. There is literaly one percent of anti-bronies that are actualy nice.

I love driving/walking around in the dark. Think cities can look beautiful at night. Can get a bit grim getting up in the dark, sitting in the office all day (with controlled lighting so it's exactly the same brightness all day) then leaving in the dark, and only seeing daylight at weekends though.

Compare this to the gutmasters that rip their shirts off at the first hint of double figure temperatures, everyone crawls out of the woodwork, shit gets busy, shops busy, bars busy, parks busy, roads busy.
