Ive noticed recently there has a been a trending topics of complete shit. Where some guy that has only posted twice, is asking for some bullshit nobody wants to help them with. Just completely pointless garbage, that nobody comments on, or has a serious answer for.

I feel like there is a need for sorting threw the trash and leaving the well though out sincere posts up.

I was thinking maybe like a questionnaire before you sign up asking some basic/mid level production questions before you can even join DSF (questions that couldnt be answered by a google search). Or creating a Board for high level production topics, and regulating strictly who posts there.

I mean I know that would be a lot of work to put together, but im sure it would be much appreciated by a lot of the seniors that still login and post.

If this doesnt work out, i think all seniors in DSF should burn the shit out of some of these restarted questions, just because of the over-saturation.

What's wrong with the way things are already going? Spam threads get deleted locked or ignored.

No, seriously OP, lol why u mad tho?
Stupid questions are a way of life. Where would you have been if you hadn't asked some stupid questions to your parents while growing up? We humans are curious and always strive for knowledge, deal with it.

Been at a musical festival since a week last Monday, only just turned the laptop on 8)

To recap this thread;

- No subforums for n00b producers...this is up there with asking people to move to the back of the bus IMO (plus why would more experienced producers venture in there? Only to give advice, which they could do in the main production area anyway)
- General FAQ section is something I've been bouncing around with a few of you for a while now, be happy to incorporate it if there were a list of what 'basic' questions needed answering.
- Having a questionnaire before you can join/use the production forum isn't practical as it would need to be applied forum wide.

Always up for suggestions though, good to see a 'state of the board' taking place...even if it did turn to name calling a little quickly :lol:

I'd be all for doing that personally...though might I suggest a seperate "WHAT SHOULD I BUY..." thread each for mixers/audio interfaces/synths/etc...then maybe a meta WHAT SHOULD I BUY sticky listing all of the sub threads?

Very good idea, i see those every day, i am sure there is a couple lurking on the front page as we speak.

Out of curiosity wub, are you the only one that (using the term loosely) "sensors" these threads. It seems like it could be hard to upkeep...

I think the, how to make this sound threads should be grouped if possible, They all take up a lot of room on the front page IMO
