Post by JamesPmusic4booty » Tue Jul 17, 2012 2:25 pm

What do you guys think of the future trill/trap lex luggar influences that have been seen in a lot of new dubstep tracks?

http://soundcloud.com/tigranmimosa/mimo ... -trill-mix

I just went to camp bisco and this guy Mimosa was playing tunes like this all night and it was honestly really dope, beats the hell out of the womping power tool home depot synths im used to hearing when i go see any type of dubstep show in the states. I had my stanky face on all night

I think most people are just calling it trap. I actually enjoy it a lot.

I saw the same show, was right up front. Definitely the best set i saw all weekend, the energy he brought to the dance floor was insane. He really loves the music he's playing. I think 'trap', 'trill', or 'future-trill' is going to have a lot of influence on modern electronic music. The drums are really unique and have a distinct vibe.

Also, Mimosa dropped J:Kenzo's The Roteks, which gave him so much respect in my mind. Shit went mental.

and he droped a different version of Footbfab - Addison Groove... the only hating i can do is when he said, "Wadap Banaroo!" and than kept yelling bisco the whole night cuz he knew he fucked up

i agree tho, no one is really on this tip quite yet, only a few artists based on my research, hope there is more to come

I saw mim0sa @ Electric forest. He played in the day which sucked.....but his set was dope!

as far as the future trill / purple wow / trap / southern rap beats mixed with modern talking bass vowels go....i can say im a fan of mim0sa and krampfhaft

as far as Play Me / Reid Speed's new Trap mix that is out.......fucking sucks.

trap as a genre? you can thank T.I. for labeling his 2nd album trap music. now that 1000000000000 mix tapes have come out of every state from texas to flordia labeled "the trap diaries vol XYZ 60" with giant black asses in dental floss bikinis..... the name trap seems like its going to stick around. as far as labeling it something enjoyable....I would say the purple wow sound is better than future trill. trill? WTF? trill sounds like a mold growing on your marijuana plants......thats never healthy.

trap has been around since the early 90's and is usually just called hip hop over here... that being said, good stuff
