Also, I've heard that KOAN Sound use Malström for their reeses. There's some good potential in that synth... :)

Of course! Malstrom is my favorite synth to work with by far. I'm sure Kill The Noises tracks consist of 80% malstrom.

sorry ive been inactive. been analyzing a lot of skrillex growl waveforms. been having no success. i think he may be using some form of ring modulation. i have no idea. he is definitely using triangle waves though. i learned that much hhaha. im also very sure hes pumping up the digital in fm8. (the waves have a square timbre when you zoom in)

SEE GUYS WE ARE LEARNING

anyway this is a growl i made in 2 minutes with 1 fm8 and 1 eq. it soudns like shit but im still alive so i wanted you guys too know. :U:

Reks : That sounds amazing, Keep going with that one, it's got some amazing potential. Also, you should help me figure out how to emulate that sound on FM8 or Massive, or Razor :)

Instep : You've got a great sound a-brewing, I'd be VERY interested to know how you achieved that. Only criticism is, it could be a tad wider. But that still greatly exceeds anything that I can do as of yet.

Make it thicker! It's got potential but it's not near heavy enough.

I know this is gonna b a crap description but i'll try anyway.

How do yo get your growls to automate to make it sound like its moving and talking along with the song.

Im using ableton and i know how to automate stuff etc very well....im just having trouble doing it with my growls.

What parameters are you automating?

I use massive and fm8 the most..ive had some decent outcomes but nothing good enough.

Help guys!!!

Thanks in advance.

For movement you need to automate EQ if you want "talking". Personally I use WOW filter for that. Just make a bassline, automate some vowel modulation and then chop it up to get a cool talking bass :D
