I've been listening to Addergebroed(say that three times in a row, fast! haha) for a while now, and I can't stop to be amazed over how good his sounddesign is! It's not the usual wubs or brostep glitchy-ness, his sound is more oriented towards the melody/hook itself and not to be as filthy as it can be, and I must say that his style is even more hardhitting than the regular producers out there.
I'm so intrigued by his sound design that I'm trying to see if i can get some simular sounds out of NI Massive(yeah, that's actually what he uses...) but because I'm a synthesis dummy, it doesn't work out that well.
There's a couple of sounds I'm interested in. The "scratching" sounds in Zodiac:
... aaaand the main hook melody sound in Limbo:
These are two very awesome songs with awesome sounddesign... every thing fits perfectly together.
How do you guys think that he made those sounds? Other than he's using Massive, it feels like he is using Kontakt or some other sampler for many of his buildups with exotic instruments and stuff. Feel free to discuss everything related to him, for I think that he's an awesome producer and a couple of sounds he got is worth debunking.
