and surely the rest of the fam.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

it was just my association between the artist himsef Burial and the Burial Mix catalogue for the similarities in their names.
Even if Burial doesn't like the Basic Channel | Burial Mix | Rhythm & Sound sounds its all good, in my opinion.
Burial Mix as the dub part of the Basic Channel (both label and artist duo), Rhythm & Sound stuff, you know!
As you can see from my avatar and my sign, biggest fan of their sounds.

Yeah I agree, Basic Channel are heavy and there's definitely a similarity in atmospherics/texture with Burial's tunes. I think I was just questioning the notion of Burial being part of a Basic Channel 'heritage' when he said what he did about not wanting to make anything like Pole or Basic Channel etc... I suppose you can be part of an unconscious heritage though.

Definitely, Burial sounds like that no matter how but it does in some way, just that even if he got influenced by them he wanted to kept a confortable separation and craft his own path and he did, so i agree with you when you said that you can be part of an unconscious heritage even if its something that you tend to not accomplish.
