I thought I'd start a thread for everyone to share how they gain their inspiration.
I guess I'll start!
I find my inspiration in really cinematic parts of films. I normally imagine an orchestral piece over the top, try and recreate what's in my head then carry on with that feeling into a dark and heavy dubstep track.
I used to be a massive metal fan, so I also gain inspiration from there, I try to make my tracks as heavy as the metal I used to listen to.

girls, getting fucked over, feeling butterflies, movie scores, nature, sunset, nightfall, late night car rides, the rainfall, conversations that get me thinking, powerful movie scenes, watching my favorite artists on stage, the stars, etc..

inspiration for me, can come out of no where and smack u in the face, it can also not be there for ages and leave u lost and feeling in decline like a coal miner from up north.
however usually certain things are usually more likely to inspire u then others, i often find that constantly pushing ur sound into new areas, will inspire more then most, using an unusual sample, experimentation in general is ur best bet. Also exploring other genres, often when u feel uninspired its because u feel like ur in a rut with ur particular sound, if this is the case u can do what ive mentioned, or take a break or invest in a new toy.
either of these options should provide a lifeline in terms of getting the creative juices flowing again.

We have similar inspirations then. I like walking outside at around 5 am.

Theyre names of my own tracks. And Enter Shikari are friends of mine and are the band that got me into electronics a long time ago. I also have insomnia, aspergers syndrome, ADHD and some others so feeling like an alien definitely inspires me to make sounds

I know one of the lads from ES a bit. One of their mums used to work for my mum
Sweet band. I also have insomnia, and sleep apena, hence the 5 am walks. It's a bitch but it's when I'm most creative.
