Massive LFO waves crackling
I've got the A.I. Waveform going through an acid filter with a saw LFO on it. But it has this weird vinyl-like crack over it.
It only happens with this waveform tho. Is this a bug or is there some other problem that I'm not aware of?

Screenshot?
I just tried everything you've mentioned and i don't have any vinyl distortion sorta sound... maybe some sorta bug. This is a complete shot in the dark but delete the NIMassiveDatabase file thing if you haven't/don't usually

Could just be your audio if you're running FL Studio. Download Asio4All if you don't have an interface but if you do, make sure it's checked in your audio settings.

Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
Yep, increasing your buffer would probably fix it. Did for me anyway.
Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
Saw LFO is the problem here. If its on really bass heavy material it will 'click' as the filter changes from one extreme state to another. Much like an envelope thats too short attack/release.
Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
Yea, if it only happens with this, so that this is the only thing that has these crackles when you play the whole track, then i think it is the saw LFO like Depone said
Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
And there's no way to 'fix' this except for using another LFO waveform?Depone wrote:Saw LFO is the problem here. If its on really bass heavy material it will 'click' as the filter changes from one extreme state to another. Much like an envelope thats too short attack/release.

Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
you could mix the saw lfo waveform just a little bit with another that changes continuously in order to smooth it out a little? just enough so that crackle goes away.
to shreds, you say...
Re: Massive LFO waves crackling
adjust the dept and the center freq. , pay attemtion to resonance, maybe eq or low pass out the click if possible
I always found that the saw LFO style pulsing synth sounds great but has that unavoidable clicking sound
on its own it's annoying but when i drop it into the music, it's buried by drum hits and surrounding parts, and just isn't very noticeable. so you may just have to write a track that effectively buries that undesirable noise
obv. it's better to eliminate it, but if you can't, i don't see it as a reason not to use that patch. There's no replacement for that style of pulsing, so if it were me I'd just use it anyway

Ye going to use it anyway, it'll get masked when the hats and drums are up correctly. Thanks for the help!
