I would split the bass onto two buses and use the gain plugin.. it has a mono button on it.

I use this sometimes and just turn down the lower frequencies on it. But also ya have to make sure that your synth plug in isn't in stereo as well or else that could do some serious widening to your sound and ya don't really need or want that.

@mesc: yeah i know i use the gain plug for my sub bass just incase but i was hoping for a little better of a solution then splitting the signal. i already have a million busses and having 2 more on each bass would add a shit ton more. i was hoping for a more elegant solution like reasons stereo imager XD

@towany: so by setting the lower frequencies off that will make them mono? or will that just not widen them? also most of my synths are in stereo because i do want the top to have some width to it.

Yah I feel you man. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with buses. Anyways, are you wanting to mono the same frequency range on all your basses? I route all my basses to three final bass buses (low, mid and hi) and then add the gain plugin on the low bus.

Well I make my basses in mono and usually my pads and synths are in stereo, but if I want some width to my basses I will use that plug i linked you to and just turn down the lower frequencies which i'm pretty sure leaves it in mono and then just subtly bring up the higher frequencies so that it gets a little wider. To be honest though i dont use it that much. I make my basses wider in massive by using the voicing tab, pan position and dimension expander so it ends up sounding wide without actually being in stereo. But i'm not sure if you are using massive or not.
