Goin to the first ever dubstep night put on in my home town earlier this year and gettin baked like a cake before hand only to see a bunch of hipster wankers jumpin around and punchin the shit out of each other all night because they don't know how to dance properly.

I remember seeing two guys at the rinse tour in brum a while back running full pelt into each other and punching and kicking the shit out of themselves like that was how dubstep nights were meant to go. Bout 15 of us just sat there watching them do it and at that moment I realised I probably wouldn't enjoy another night with 'dubstep' on the flyer ever again.

Not roots heavy but it was decent enough. The music was brockable at least

Hahaha, I've thought this before.

My saddest moment in dubstep was when there was no drop in Aphex Twin - Flim and I have a pretty good sub.

i dont know what my saddest moment in dubstep is,

i never really been apart of the scene as such, so cant realistically blame some idle hipsters pretendign to be trendy :cornlol:

probs listening to the Pinch fabric mix CD, it was the moment i decided this sound would never really be for me.

I found it pretty dull tbh, relying too much on sub base and repetition, i know u guys will disagree and probably on a club soundsystem it would sound much better but at home i found it pretty bland musically speaking, uninspiring and not challenging enough.

Do you mean specifically that style or dubstep as a whole?

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

THATS THE WHOLE POINT

Radio and mixes should be to promote NIGHTS. Not the other way around.

i mean that style specifically. I do like elements of dubstep, in particular http://www.acroplane.org/ 's unique take on it, always continually surprises me. take:

Duskky:

brilliant production.

in terms of the club nights mixtape question? i think fabric mixes should be able to be listened at home as well as at club. The djs are talented enough to create a mix that should suit both environments in equal measures,

why am i here, cause although dubstep is not my main fetish musically speaking ;-) the dsf is genreally more mature and open minded on the music front, as forums go.

It's a nice theory to believe in, that he devotes his whole life to being a troll, I think the disappointing truth is that he is actually like this. How can his parents look at him and call him son...
