Were going to get wet. Very, very wet...
you seen the guy's post on gladtalk about the soil types though?
Well, as i work for the National Soils Resources Institute, and am to excited to be productive i figured i should geek it up soil stylee and find some info about what we can expect from the site, waterlogging wise.
It seems that virtually all, if not all of the site is on soil association:-
SONNING 2 - Well drained flinty coarse loamy and gravelly soils.
There is a little bit of:-
SOUTHAMPTON - Well drained very acid, very flinty sandy soils with bleached subsurface horizon, but that is right at the bottom of the hill, possibly the other side of the fence and just off of site.
Anyway, this 1 km x 1 km grid is all well drained soil.
no mudbaths for us

Put a smile on my face that has pk

(serious sigh of relief!) Walking boots not wellies!
EDIT: Dont know for sure, but I wanna camp in the main bit of the festival (last year was opposite the psy-trance stage, was banging from inside yer tent 24/7

) anyhoo, if im on some major walkway I might hang up my t-shirt (see above!) by our tents tomorrow, if you see it at any point just yell WIIIIIIGGGLLLEEESS!!!!!

i'm trying to head for F6, but as i'm not turning up til 4 or 5 tomorrow i reckon i'll end up right next to the psytrance
reason for F6 - you're at the top of the hill so if the soil analysis is wrong there's less chance of waterloggage
plus i want to get maybe an hour's sleep at some point over the weekend lol

Reports just in:
festival site is under water and has been shut. if the rain dont let up then they may have to cancel...whch would suck in a big way for all the punters and organisers.
