Love the tune, love the artwork.

Did you even listen to the preview? Only two of the five tracks are remotely halfstep, and even then only Reality sounds something like his earlier releases (at least in my opinion).cakeplz wrote:i'm sorry but all biome's stuff is beginning to sound so contrived. i doubt he'll ever touch greatness like he did with Propaganda and his KM edit. another disappointing half step release, guess i'll keep waiting for Youngsta's 12 on Tempa
seriously don't mean to sound like a hater all the time, i rate black box fam very highly, but not feeling this one or the past few
the artwork is really neat but the typography is the opposite
You're chatting shit.cakeplz wrote:reality - halfstep

honestly "charged" is pretty good, reminds me of kenzo. besides that "first light" is very strong, but i'm a sucker for hand drums and stabs. the rest are generic in my opinion. i would be more excited if this were a 12, Charged bw First Light. but of course First Light is the digital only![]()
versatile is something i doubt biome will ever be. there are very few versatile producers in the bass scene, David Kennedy and Scuba come to mind, and of course Tony Williams and Peverelist

Funny you say that. I can't think of very many releases in recent months that I've been really enthused about, barring something like a David Kennedy or Scuba release...maybe even Kryptic Minds, but this Biome EP is shaping up to be massive imo. Love all 5 tunes. Great atmosphere. Halfstep doesn't automatically disqualify a song from being good.cakeplz wrote: versatile is something i doubt biome will ever be. there are very few versatile producers in the bass scene, David Kennedy and Scuba come to mind, and of course Tony Williams and Peverelist
No need to be sorry sir, I can understand your point entirely. Don't worry about sounding like a hater, your just voicing an honest opinion.cakeplz wrote:i'm sorry but all biome's stuff is beginning to sound so contrived. i doubt he'll ever touch greatness like he did with Propaganda and his KM edit. another disappointing half step release, guess i'll keep waiting for Youngsta's 12 on Tempa
