I think this will stop a lot of developers. Can't see this model working out tbh.

I think that angry people are the loudest people. At the end of the day, RE devices are always cheaper then their VST counter parts, and because Reason already has everything you "need" in it, if you don't like an RE or don't have a use for it, or don't like the price, then don't buy it.

If a developer for example like Sugar Bytes, wants to make a bunch of in my opinion sub-par products, then they probably won't make money off it.

However, if a developer creates a killer product, then people will buy it, even if they complain about it being expensive (Predator for example).

I'm pretty confident RE's will survive and evolve with Reason. I know this sounds fanboyish and yes, Reason is my primary DAW, but I just don't think that because some people think RE's are over priced (which they aren't) that it's a doomed format.
