Okay cool :D! What about something like Ohmicide or WOW for distortion?

EDIT: How will I know when something I have sounds good, lol. I know that may be a subjective question but I really don't know when I've stumbled upon something awesome or not.

Here's something I came up with a while ago. I just tweaked it now a little. Idk if it's good or not. Someone else can be the judge of that lol

Might I also ask in a dubstep song nowadays, are synths popular? Not a trancey synth and not quite a bass stab, but some sort of synth to go along with the wobble? Maybe some pads or other sounds? What is typically on a dubstep song?

Some synth like this:

I listen and hear the following:

1. Wobble
2. Sweeps/Risers
3. Beat
4. FX
5. Sub-Bass
6. Vocals (occasionally)

That's all I can think of lol. Thanks for the help everyone. Let me know how that wobble sounds.

Haha I've read that and just wanted to make sure. Because people may say that but listen to a song and say "that wobble sounds like S!" But if the guy was just making a wobble that sounded good to him then shouldn't it not matter? Hopefully that makes sense. Gotta' appeal to the masses.

Lol you're just so full of jokes! Thanks! That's actually serious though lol. I guess the sub-bass will make it deeper, but I think it sounds good. Just gotta' figure out what FX to add to the chain now. Limiter? Compression? Distortion? Chorus? Flanger? Filter?

If they say its shit they are most likely referring to the eq and whether or not it is muddy, and the over mix down.....try to please everyone is gonna make it impossible to producer anythig

You're asking alot of question that would be better answered by the http://www.dubstepforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=159713 or google.

Read some stuff then if you dont understand a particular part of what your reading start a thread.

Awesome. Thank you a lot. I'll mess around with them and see what they do to the sound separately. As for a beat, I have no idea what I'm doing. I'd like to lay out a beat first then put everything onto that. Only thing is, I have no idea about how to make a dubstep beat. The best I can do is a simple kick and snare beat. No idea what to put in the gaps lol. Sorry for all the questions. I tried searching for stuff but got nothing. Is there a best thread anywhere or maybe some simple tips to get me going?

I have that thread bookmarked lol. I do use it but I really just had general questions that's all. I'll look at all of that in depth too. It's like I have a lot of ideas in my head but have no idea how to produce any of them. Or like an idea is trying to form in my head but I have no idea how to finalize it. Thanks for the help and sorry for all the questions again

Got it. Thanks. I'm on my phone right now so I'll have to check after work. Thanks though :). I think it's just going to be a lot of practice now. That and messing around with everything to see what sounds good. I have other questions but I suppose I'll read first so as not to annoy the forum

I'll add this question though real quick because it's been bothering me. In lots of songs now, the wobble is modulated (I think that's the right word) so it's not just one straight, simple wobble. It will start normal and maybe change the rate half way through the beat or slow down or a combo of both. Sometimes distortion is added halfway through or whatever it may be. But how would one accomplish that? I'm using ableton so would it be a Groove pattern added to the midi clip or something else in the chain or something else entirely? Thank you again!

I just haven't updated. Thanks for everyone who helped. I guess no one is going to answer my question. I've read and searched but found nothing on the subject but I guess people just like trolling instead of helping
