Hey, new to this site, is there anybody who can compare magix music maker to ableton live? I know ableton is better, but HOW MUCH better?

Chillstep is a fucking retarded term and anyone using it an idiot. What really grinds my gears about this is the fact that seemingly, anything that isn't "nosebleed tearout" is referred to as "chillstep". It's stupid. I'm assuming (rightly or wrongly) that it was an American that coined this term. I saw someone referring to Seven's "Stormz Over Mars" as "chillstep". It's dark and evil and its sick. There is nothing "chilled" about it. Just because it doesn't contain dentist's drills, does NOT mean it's "chilled". If you were referring to Phaeleh's "Afterglow" or something, I could at least understand that because it is a very relaxing, emotive tune. BUT DUBSTEP/DUNGEON/DEEP IS NOT FUCKING CHILLED.

Ableton Live gives you the ability to compose a profressional song in a controling and relaxing atmosphere
Magix Music Maker is a crappy piece of crap that should never be used for production as you dont legally own the crappy samples you sequence to make a non unique song

Hope I helped

Hi I'm Espirion. I'm a new producer hoping to make something that people can enjoy and download to take with them. I will have a song out hopefully in a couple months if I work really hard. I hope people here can help me with my endeavors and it's good to be here :D

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything lol.

Hello!

My name is Yoann, I'm a french musician (playing with "Kwoon" and its little brother "Every Silver Lining Has A Cloud"), playing bass guitars, double bass, organs, and singing. I've been playing almost only post-rock for few years.
Got pretty deep in electronic musics recently searching for new directions and approaches to music in general.

You might wanna check for my bands on Youtube, it's a few million miles away from dubstep but... (hey I'm listening to this WHAT IS DUBSTEP? thread's stuffs : it's only a few thousand miles away)

Take care

Hey I'm Zambezi,

Long time reader second time poster.

Love Dubstep, Love Brostep, love Steps, but prefered S club 7 (Rachel Stevens innit bludd), wanna start producing.

Gonna be the biggest dubstep producer to ever come out of Zambia (Might already be?)

Also I dont actually use terms like Bludd I was just trying new tings.

I don't say tings either.

Keep up the good foruming cause this site basically gets me through work.

Cheers.

It's put on by Audioboo and you need to enter your at this URL - http://audioboo.fm/channel/outlook-contest - and say that 'My Outlook is ...' - Leave your Twitter or email address at the end of the message for your chance to win 2 tickets to the biggest and baddest Dub-step festival around!

Hey all! My name is Kyle aka MYLEK. I am a Producer/Musician from the midwest US. Been making electronic music for about 4 yrs now. Been in several bands and toured the US 4 or 5 times. I just love to make music. Dubstep totally ruined me, would not change it for anything.

Howdy,

Thanks for the welcome.......

I am a multi-instrumentalist (primarily a drummer) and I have been writing some instrumental tracks and needed some direction., SImple things like, where do I buy good Dub samples? What is the gear of choice for making my own samples? How many other people like fluffernutter sandwiches at 2 a.m.?

So here I am...time to ask questions like an ADD kid who forgot his meds...

Peace

STS
