Im pretty sure he made the album first before looking for somewhere to put it out on. In other words, I realize that Mala wasn't forced into making this album by an means, but obviously these tunes were authored under much different circumstances than all his other released music. I wonder how this album would sound if it were to come out on Deep Medi. Do you think it would sound the exact same or slightly different?
Being on Deep Medi it wouldnt of been any different.. The whole point of this album is Mala curating a sound he based on his travels. Still don't understand why people are saying stuff like "Not the usual Mala stuff..." It was never going to be that in the first place...
