I'll probably give this a shot. Even if just to clear out all the web and shit. I turned up the bass and quite a bit of web was blown out the front.

What about putting it in a cold environment, if you've got a big enough freezer! If it doesn't draw it out, it'll put him to sleep while your digging through the insides of the monitor.

Don't freeze it, I know the tweeters have a liquid in them and I wouldn't want to risk fucking anything up.
I would play music with a lot of highs for a prolonged amount of time, not necessarily really loud (don't want to break anything or piss of neighbors). Maybe like 4-5 hours. It will most likely get pissed and leave. If that doesn't work I would try using compressed air, just that shit that you use to clean dust out of your computer.
