Just isnt doable, so, so many controls! I think pretty much every key on the keyboard is mapped to something. I guess you could use a keyboard with the 360 but then...whats the point lol

Oh, and im out the game guys. My graphics card just died. Completely. You know shits kicking off when you get vertical green/red stripes during the fecking bios screen...

360 could handle playing dayZ if it used the minecraft engine :6:

^ Man you're a ghillie finding master. I've gotten seriously, seriously lucky and looted two - one in an apartment in Cherno and the other in Rog castle but you seem to rinse 'em regularly! What's your secret?

no one is on skype to play lately
i rode around on a bike being sniper bait in cherno and elektro earlier (no one got me, but they sure tried) but died in berenzino due to zombies while raiding when i was headed to black lake area to look for tents
it's just no fun solo anymore

deadly habit wrote:yeaaaa the 360 can't handle the arma 2 engine and the devs have pretty much confirmed the standalone is going to be a customized arma 2 engine
not to mention i don't think BIS have ever published any console games
Funnily enough it has been pretty much confirmed it's coming to consoles!
Can't be bothered to find the quote from Rocket right now, it might be in one of his Reddit Q&As or an interview but he basically says that they're not in any rush to bring it to consoles but it will almost 100% be done once they've properly nailed the PC version down. He said something along the lines of "we'd be silly not to".

BIS did bring out a fairly scaled down version of the original OFP (who knows about that one? my first LAN sessions 8) ) on the original Xbox so it is within their powers to do console games.
I see no technical limitations really...PS3 and 360 are more than capable of loading the huge Arma maps seamlessly if it is done in chunks like GTA. I'd hazard a guess that there's way more polygons and console-specific technical challenges in the GTAIV map than the current Chernarus build.

It's not 100% confirmed, but as good as. Loadsa PC gamers will surely diss it but I can only see it doing great things for the industry.

they'd have to dumb down the engine quite a bit tbh, especially considering everything in arma is destructible, we'll see how much he tweeks the engine for the standalone
anyways successful camp hunting and raiding on a server tonight, I had spare nvgs, and shit for whomever needed em only to discover this was one of the servers that eats your gear in water
soooo now i'm geared back up, though need to go grab a DMR again and only have a spare ghillie atm for whomever wants to play, but i have plenty of camp locations that can get you guys geared up with the basics besides nvgs and rangefinders for the most part
