first seasons are awesome indeed, then it gradually spirals into a parody of itself imo

Kinda felt the same way about The Wire, still watched all 5 seasons and was definately worth the watch!

Amazing show! But Sopranos is the top HBO program IMO.
Adabessi is a badman

Top-notch. American prisons have to be one of the worst places in which to find yourself, in the developed world. Hardcore, nasty shit.
Americans are so much better at tv programmes than everybody else it's embarrasing.

Good show.
Some scenes were rather disturbing.
Rape for one is very unappealing.

Yeah first two seasons are sick but then it just becomes fucking ridiculous. I still cant believed i made it through the last two seasons, really bad. Goes beyond parody into full on farce.
For example, a story line involves an aging pill you can give to convicts so to speed up age by the number of years they're convicted, guy who takes it gets white hair and everything loool defined the term "jumping the shark" for me.
It was never a serious prison drama to being with though.

ive watched the first three series, its great- i love adabisi- dat hat. Also beecher/schillinger is fantastic, i dont want either of em to win really. Also, the wheelchair guy is a good touch, his monologues are great for sampling
all the staff characters and their plots really annoy me, especially the way mcmanus "has dinner with" any female staff member that goes near him.

The aging pill, the bomb maker and the refugee storylines were proper awful but there was still some interesting stuff going on away from the shit themes. The first two series are very good. I'd have the best of Oz up with the best of The Wire where the worst of Oz was much much worse.
