Conflicted about buying a pair of Nike 6.0 because they're made out of leather and I don't wear leather.

You know the animal is already dead, right? It's life has already been snubbed out. May as well buy them and wear the shit out of them so it's life wasn't taken in vain.

Tbh it's not all because of that. I just don't really like the general feel of leather. And pretty much every leather shoe I ever bought turned out to be uncomfortable as fuck.

Really? Interesting, I always find leather to be comfortable... and they let your feet breathe so they don't wiff up as fast other synthetic materials.

No, because that's killing an animal purely in the name of accessorising. If a cow has been killed then pretty much everything gets used. The meat goes in to butchers, the bones in cosmetics and sweets, the skin gets used for clothes and all the organs go to McDonalds - as much as possible of the animal is used.

I'm not what you'd call an animal rights activist, but I do think killing 100 Mink for a single coat is pretty out of order...

...unless, of course, there is a lucrative market for Mink meat which is being filled - in which case that's fine

Cant seem to find a way to get around not having a return flight booked for Australia.
I dont want to book with a certain return date as I may want to stay longer/shorter but "open" returns dont seem to exist anymore.
Not really sure what other options there are.
Book a cheap flight to NZ from Aus and have that as my outbound one? Thus getting around the needing one home part? Not sure what other options there are.

Best option cost wise is to book a ticket with either a 6 or 12 month validity (depending on when you are likely to use it) with a fixed return date that can be changed for a fee. depending on where you want to go un Aus. Emirates & Etihad are good at offering the ones with the option of changing the return date either FOC or for a small fee (subject to availability in the same class). Changing the routing however can be more difficult, and more costly.

Ger NanoStudio on your phone (if you can support apps) and use it as a sketch pad for ideas - that's what I do if inspiration strikes while I'm on the train or something...
