No I haven't, I only started making deeper/darker things last week. I'll try taking some stuff away before the sub comes in. PM me about a collab and I'll get back to you :W:

@Kresherdubs

Feeling the intro nice and dark, love the hats coming through nice shuffle to them and lays a nice foundation for what comes after....then BOOM love the mid the low end and the drum work especially. Particularly fond of the snare love that metalic sound and the reverb just hits me where I like. atmosphere overall is very dark and eerie but works great. The slight off kick throws me at first but as it gets past the first 16 I found myself nodding along with it. Great stuff man! only thing I would add would be something sitting around the high mids like a dark Japanese string with some reverb but I'm a sucker for that kinda stuff! :W:

@Brothulhu

Oh yeah liking the drum work from the get go and the background atmosphere.Hits really nice and dark before the main love them keys and the background staticy stepping. Sub hits just where I want it to, had my head nodding too this! would love to hear a little something in the mids though maybe a dark vocal or a phrase taken apart and raped with reverb and delay. only thing I can nitpick is the little screechy squeeky sound before the second drop! :Q:

@zonetrooper5

The intro keys sound a bit too happy for me considering how deep and eerie it drops into I'd maybe lower them a few octaves just because of the vibe. Although when it drops ohhhhhh boooooooy yeah I am feeling this. Dark mysterious with some reverb and space just how I like it! the mid bass though is a bit too reecey for me although it does work well! overall very impressed I just love the first 32 of the main hook I'd maybe keep it that way and just add elements with reverb to keep it dark and spacey! :4:

Something I've been working on over the past few still feel like it needs something added but not quite sure (Block of some sort) any feedback appreciated!

@InTheCrowd , ironic enough I had some japan instruments sampled in to be apart of the intro ! haha, but when transferring over from fl studio 9 to 10 the sample got lost then when I placed it back wasn't fitting, some of the effects got changed for it after retrying , and overall just not having the same vibe so I dropped it...
your track Im feeling some oldskool jungle in the intro !!!! .... ughhhhh I love it , really(: hah. Im a big embracer of oldskool jungle and dnb, I've had attempts of making jungle tracks, but its not the same on the computer, hard to get that natural organic sound like the classics, can never beat.. Im liking your track and typing as I listen, all I can say is compress the bass and add some make up gain to it, maybe some reverb effect to widen it a little, even though your saying you feel its missing something I think everything is into place ! :) try to find some bird samples maybe, place them around, cuz as Im listening I feel as if, I am walking through a melodic rainforest, good trackk famm..
man why do I even bother... Because I love it .. music life, music passion, music soul.

The screech is a creaky door I found on freesound, I wanted the slam on the first hit of the drop and I thought I EQd it and turned the start down enough so it was only a little creak but when I did my self master I must of boosted that frequency somehow, woops. Thanks for the feedback though :)

@Badjaman.

Drum work is tight. Could do with some lighter kicks though, + the wobbling synth is unnecessary, it's good enough without. Dunno how you wanted it, but its just my opinion man

@InTheCrowd

Really cool tune. Pretty relaxing shit - like it very much. Synth work is good as gold. Big up man, downloading this shit ASAP.

@Zonetrooper5

'Skyline' is insane. That reese brings ENERGY man. Good thing you doidn't over rape it with reeses - keep it tight, short and creeping through the track - all good. Skills.

Here's my productions - they're not dubstep, it's mostly some hip hop shit. Say a few words, nothing's finished yet out of there so changes can be done. But please, don't bitch about the reverbs - they're intended to be like that. Thanks.

4 tracks, listen to what you want.

klesher: intro is nice, drums are tight. i think if u could try too make the sub have more presence. other than that i like it. nice work.

in the crowd: ok this great, my type music! drums are great. one thing is that their is a lot of space at first, which isnt a bad thing. maybe u could boost a few thing slightly. this bass has some subtle harmonics to it nice job on that. love it man chilled. nice y

johnkimble: first track, i really like the bass in this, kind of groany. i think the melody is quite boring but im sure its on perpose. it is miixed well and sounds full. nice job

@ s3f
I really liked it. I don't have any feedback to give seeing I'm not really into the genre but I really digged the tune. It was nice!

@ Hudson
I really dig your tune aswell. Same here. I know I really like it but I can't really give any feedback seeing I don't know anything about the genre.
I can see myself listening to this tune over and over again while relaxing or sleeping or w/e. :D

@klesher, i couldnt help but move when your tune dropped. the intro made me a bit uneasy at times,so i would clear the space a bit there and make it breathable. the bassline could use a little room as well but i liked it. whenever the notes change it seems like a last minute decision, like it wasnt meant to be there.

@brothulhu, i liked the overall idea of your track, but i would have more low end in the intro. not quite sub but some floaty mid bass. your progression happens so slow that it sort of loses me, but none of it sounded bad, or sour by any means. very good to float on and the percussion is awesome.

@inthecrowd, once the drums came in and i understood the groove a bit more i really started digging it. some of it seems almost too crisp in the intro, but when it drops its perfect. seriously, great work.

@ada, your track has very good production value. and i like progressive leads like that but it takes an observant ear to follow. i would intensify the build up before the drums come in just a bit. the entire track progresses very well, good composition overall.

okay guys, this is my newest clip. its an attempt at some darker, more traditional dubstep.(which is rare for me)

@ InTheCrowd

I really dig this. At times though it sounds like the sound hits @ over 0 dB making the song crackle. It sounds very harsh in my ear when the track otherwise sounds really chill and nice.

The drop was amazing. Great song dude! Love it.

klesher- i like the fx in the intro, secret love of mine. the beat is so damn nice and choppy. the drop is intense. a little variation in the wobble speed? very reminiscent of old bangers. 320 when its all said and done?

inthecrowd- pads and ambiance work great, the chopped beat. very nice, the kick sample is spot on. percussion is super on point, the vocals in the intro could be brought up just a tick. when it finally drops, i feel as the bass doesnt go with it? maybe just a change up in the bass section other then that i love the style.

ada- nice ravey vibes in this one, nothing to much in your face. the chord progression sits really well and the use of filters in the appropriate place add ten times.

eye-sic- kick snurr kick snurr kick snurr kick snurr kick snurr. i feel like the intros a little empty? the verb on that snare around 49 is immense. When it drops it all fits for sure. Kromestar feel all day. little change up on the perc on the second drop adds so much groove. smoking a bowl to this was perfect.

Heres my latest.
go easy this is like my 3rd tune since taking a year or more break

Greetings you, I would greatly enjoy a bit of constructive criticism, and some of said 'criticism' about the "mix" if you can call it that. Hence I happen to be 'mixing' on a -5$ headset. The 'song' is in my signature...

(Reading the rules, rule that I have to give someone of three people a "feedback")

So, ... without any further to do...

Flippity, do you still exist? If so, you're song there is really quite grand, I don't have anything to criticize about it... But you're avatar... It scars me...

withsler, if so for you, you're song has some lovely distortion on the intro.

I seam to lack the ability to give good reviews, so I think I should stop here...

@sluggy really hard to tell if i like or dislike the disjointed groove hm maybe take it even further add more stabs and hi hats and stuff until its a syncopated monster def special close to idm hm maybe try another sound for the trance sound maybe a more realistic sound? yeah just try around maybe listen to some plone could help get some ideas

@oprs hm only things i dislike are the really high screetch dub sound and the vocals the rest grooves nicely maybe make the sreetch just a oktave deeper vocals is really up to taste i guess

@eye-sic haha hm its a fucking roller so dunno finish it really nothing wrong with it maybe just some earcandy and breaks or some shuffle at point like normal lfo than triblets at every forth bar or halftime and if you want some oktave add ons or maybe some changes in the synth sound every 8 bar

short tune i guess its trapesc with idm

Ada: Gotta say I'm really liking this track, its really catchy and its got great energy. Definitely something that I could see myself listening to regularly. Don't know about the bongos, they're soft but they distract me from the great melody that you've got here, might just be me though.

Eye-siC: Love the track! Sounds very well mixed, can definitely feel the darkness. Would love to hear it when its finished.

oprs: Like the intro a lot and the ambiance of the track adds a great feel to it. However, not really any wobbles in it like the sample would lead me to believe. It's not necessarily a problem, I enjoyed it either way but I just thought I'd point it out. Otherwise I think its awesome!

Here's my latest WIP, I know its full length but I'm still working with eq's so it doesn't sound like the snare is getting smashed so much. Let me know what you think! Soundcloud

Hey! This is my first post here, I've been lurking a while, but I'm looking forward to posting around here more! Without further ado, heres some feedback:

oprs: Sounds really good, love the atmosphere of the song. It really goes well with the sample choice. Makes me feel like getting a space tour haha! Only improvement I can think of would be to add a bit more expression to the hi-hat thing in the right channel when the bass comes in. Listening to this track really makes me want to try something in that style.

Trapdoor: Liking the drums here. I think a nice long reverb on the snare during the ambient part in the middle would sound really good. I like the riffs and the arrangement, especially at 1:35 when it goes into that part, I like that a lot. If that part came in with a little more impact i think it would be even better. Maybe beefing up the kick and synth there a little would help, with a little more side chain compression on the synth maybe.

Eye-siC: Well produced, sounds very full and dark but clean still. I like the snare a lot, and that little fade-y synth in the background at around 0.40 makes it sound interesting. I think a little bit more velocity variation in the hats would add to the track, but other than that I think it sounds really interesting (in a good way!).

And heres my WIP. Bit of an electro-house type thing going on here. I'd love to hear your opinions! :)

Nokko - Nice little effort there so far, some lovely synth sounds. Good overall sound, however the main synth around 1.23 was a bit too much, drowned everything else out, coming along nicely though.

Orps - Love the intro, really sets the tone, quality drop, nice and weighty, also loads of space in the mix. Cant offer any crits really, keep it up.

Eye-Sic - Really enjoyed this one, love the synth, felt it could have done with the odd drum fill here and there, other than that, spot on!

Here be an effort of mine's, very much in the developement stages...

@Trapdoor: Huge sound. Bass sounds heavy and cutting. 2nd drop is massive. Good stuff.

@Nokko: Good start. Gotta work on the levels and the sidechained synth is a little off. Try adding a snappy snare along with the white noise snare you have and bring the snare(s) up. Keep at it.

@Echoi: Nice bass. Levels sound on. Vary it up as you keep building the song, it got a little drone/repetitive.

Latest version of WIP is in my sig, I've added some side-chained sub bass to fill out the low end.
Any thoughts??
