My first tune! Need help/criticism [warning: brostep]

Post by Justin Bays » Thu Aug 09, 2012 4:44 am

This is a short clip of a work in progress I wanted to post here because I really have no idea what I'm doing and wanted some help...this is just the drop [everything else is in pieces at the moment] but I wanted to post it in this early stage so maybe you guys could give me some tips on direction - I'm especially looking for advice on mixing and getting everything to sound more clear and defined. Basically did it all with massive and zebra..i know most of you guys hate this stuff but i didn't know where else to post it! thanks

Yeah, I really like it too. The sound design and production is top notch. That's why the sceptic in me thinks that this wasn't made by a beginner.

If he really is just starting out, then kudos to him. He certainly has some natural skills. But like I say, the sceptic in me says that this track has been made by someone who has been making music for a while...

I'm actually really flattered that some of you think I've been producing for a while :P I've been playing music since I was a kid but this is my first crack at production/mixing and electronic music in general...I did take quite a bit of time to learn my synths and DAW in and out though so that may be why...I fiddled with stuff but this is my first proper tune. Thanks guys :)
