Living in Croydon.

Post by Captain Carnage » Wed Aug 29, 2012 11:49 pm

Hello guys.
In about month from now, I'm moving to Croydon, and as a lot of you live in London, or Croydon itself, I got a few questions.
What street/borough you'd recommend the most?
I'm looking for relatively cheap (probably studio room), and safe one.
Opinions of people vary from street to street, and I guess It will be the same here, but it's always better to ask.
As the thread goes, I'll have more and more questions, thanks in advance ;-)

Anywhere along London Road between West Croydon and Thornton Heath Pond has cheap 1 bed and studio rooms. The area is considered a bit ghetto though, noisy and crime ridden (its where a lot of the rioting happened) but its not so bad if you have a bit of street sense or know the area.

South Croydon is nicer, lots of bars and restaurants, and generally safer but expect to pay a bit more.
