My first post - My latest tune!

Post by AmPro » Sat Sep 01, 2012 1:01 pm

Hey guys!

I created a new track yesterday. Been sound designing all of the sounds (except the drums) from scratch.

I'm atm quite pleased with the track. I'm fully aware that i need to work a bit more with my glitches, but thats just practice - which I know will come over time=)

However, I'm not really sure what this type of music even could be called?
I guess its the "organic/educated" musician in me - thats kinda kicking in and just creating whatever I hear in my head.
I offcourse have my inspirations, but I try my best to make my own stuff!

If you could check it out and maybe leave a comment or two - It would really make my day!

* I'm also extremely good at repaying services, just out of the formality - I like to check out peoples stuff, so to say!

Here is my track!

Cheers!

Glitchy noises are interesting, but the midrange screech takes over the track and makes it hard to hear the other elements.

The glitchy noises are kind of irritating. But it's pretty good overall, especially the beat. What did you use to make it though? I could literally send that noise to a send. Filter out the scratchiness and then downpitch it all a bit and you'll have a really nice sound.

At first I was like YEAH! then I was like yeah. I like it a lot. Maybe another section to add some more variation between that long bass run. If it was fresher on the mind, each part would seem more significant.
...Don't mind the Brostep...

Diggin' it. You never really know what to expect when you open something up. Alot of people just suck ya know. To me, it's all about energy, and this has energy so. Thumbs up! Check out my new track "Goin' Home To Live With God" if you want. I'm going for a dub step/soul/funk mixture. -BrightGreenMusic

Hey guys! Its been a while and I totally forgot that I once posted this up here!

Thanks a heap for the comments. I came to a point with this song, where i loved the original idea - but ended up hating the guts of it!
It think it can be pointed towards that Stagnant Demon who after a period of time of listening to 4 bars over and over again, tells you its shit!

Anyway, I've kept on practicing, and I took some of your advices to heart. The high pitched stuff is quite strange i know. It actually became quite shit when I listened to it allot. BUT, I have as a rule to keep hanging on to the initial ideas. The ones that sprung out during the time of creation! If you hear something for the first time, and think its cool - it probably is!

However, not everyone would think the same=)

Thanks allot for the advices and ups!=) Really appreciated.
I've molded this song and replaced it up multiple times, and I will probably keep on ding that until i'm confident with it=)

Thanks guys. New track coming up soon=)
