Once marginalized as a novel European import, electronic dance music, or E.D.M., has become the dominant trend in American pop these days. Its lively synthetic beats and booming bass lines are inescapable, and its top D.J.’s draw sold-out crowds to outdoor raves like Electric Daisy Carnival and even rock bastions like Lollapalooza and Coachella, earning them thousands, if not millions, of dollars for a single set.
Now several of its stars are turning their attention to what could become their biggest payday yet: Hollywood.

thats what the artists managers came out saying... pretty sure there are a lot of eletronic music fans in mexico, but i hardly think the majority of all these artists fans are situated in that one country.

I feel like Mexico has much bigger problems than who's the top 10 on beatport
fuck its annoying how it seems like media was all about ramming the term E.D.M (especially with the periods) up peoples assess..better than calling it dubstep but that's just retarted
also that article makes it look like electronic dance music was some new genre never heard of before that has special distinctions (booming bass and synth lines) that's even more retarted. and i'm being PC because i don't think 'retard' is an appropriate term
^ Wow that's like a sick and twisted 2012 post-internet age version of Kosheen... probably the most horrid music i've heard to date. props to the guitarist for using Orange amps though.. the drummer also has a wicked jägermeister set
