Hey, looked for a logic Q&A thread but couldn't find one.
Just wondered how people go about using the exs for certain things?
One thing I really miss about Ableton is the fact that you litterally drag in any audio into sampler and you can change the start point of that audio. I can't find a way to do this in Logic anywhere which means I'm taking ages chopping audio before putting it into a sampler. Know what I mean?
How can I choose the start point of a particular sample in the exs? Or can I not?

Re: Logic Sampling
I never use a sampler any more, i find it very easy to just drop the sample into logics arrange page and then mess with it from there, probably not the answer you were after. kotackt is the only sample i would use if i did need to use one
Re: Logic Sampling
If you go to the top right hand corner of exs 24 and click the edit button you can change the start and end points in the window that comes up.
Re: Logic Sampling
Cheers. How do you mess with it tho? I can't even see where to transpose the sample. In Ableton when you click on the sample it just comes up with a load of tools. Sorry for the newb question hehe.darkdubz wrote:I never use a sampler any more, i find it very easy to just drop the sample into logics arrange page and then mess with it from there, probably not the answer you were after. kotackt is the only sample i would use if i did need to use one

You transpose in the audio editor window. It's in like factory functions or some shit. It's not as fast as ableton but it can do it.
