I have never heard a 2step brostep track.

I guess electro-house/complextro can be called 2-step brostep ...but most dubstep/brostep turned into halfstep (considered "dub" tempo? but kinda nonsense) ...hm, actually it's not really halfstep, it's halftempo, to make any sense.. some messed up definitions, i'm confusing myself..

I was trying to find place I thought would exist, but didn't. That place being brostepforums . Anyways, this thread came up in google, and I thought it was quite funny!

Brostep:

Brostep is a relatively new sub-genre of music (born out of Dubstep micro-genre) which has no emphasis on soul.

The goal appears to be to produce music as fast as you possibly can, without placing any emphasis on quality.

Unlike Dubstep where sub bass is key, Brostep places more emphasis on ratty high frequency samples and oscillators that aren't even low frequency. Toss in a few hip hop vocal samples and you are well on your way to being the worlds next big Brostep producer.

Dubstep:

Is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London, United Kingdom. Its overall sound has been described as, tightly coiled productions with overwhelming bass lines and reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals.
