Automageddon - Crunch/Grind Mechanism [Chimera Central]

The sound of industry, processing the organic masses into a fine paste. Smog like bass, choking the air as sharp drums cut into the bone, leaving only the sensation of high frequency noise washes that tingle the nerves. Automageddon's Crunch/Grind Mechanism breathes life into the machine of Dubstep and Industrial music. With automated precision, each piece of music is crafted to shake your body and refine your expectations of what good music should sound like. Our Time is a great slow opener, with slow pad swells the duck in and out of the throbbing bass noise that drives the listener toward the next assembly process. Leading toward the more power electronics side, the title track builds up to an analog bass crushing machine, oil and valves spitting out high and low frequencies, keep a strange rhythm that is well suited for floor crawling. The deep, aggressive ambient bass track that finishes the releases this album is perfect for late night toiling. They Live in Mirrors sub work ranks up there with artists like Scorn, Bill Laswell, and Lustmord.
