feedback cont'd...
@Korea, Proper good intro, right up my alley. Moving rythmic drum programming with a great shuffle feel, lush dubtechno style stabs, perfect. Drops well, think the bass could be a touch more interesting (1st drop only, you spice it up well in the latter sections), try adding a subtle ammount of square to the sine or something just to give it a little more width. Second drop: :o SICK! Proper relentless.
Liking this one a lot. Downloaded!

@Johney, intro is pretty spaced out and there's some nice sounds in there, find the snare and kick to be a bit flat though. Wobble is interesting, personaly would prefer a little less crushing distortion on it but other than that I like it. Really think the drums need an injection of energy though, they sound a bit shy.

@Eletrichead, Great intro, love the way pitch shift is used. The hand percs fit really well (really in to hand percs at the mo!). Bass sits well. I think it gets a bit washy in the upper frequencies in places but that aint always a bad thing, purely down to personal preferences (I'm a sucker for crisp high end). Good listenable track all the same. love the resurgence of energy with that verby, subtle acid style synth line, really had me nodding at that point and the percs right there shuffle really well, keeps it very interesting.

@Reverb, it's ok, just not right up my alley, bit bored of 808 inspired stuff. I like the melody and the incidentals though. Tempo is good and overall vibe is cool.

@Korea (again! Strums this time), intro is great, snare really sits well layered with the kick. Sub is beaut, moves really well. Like how the percs go from being quite busy to chilled to busy again, keeps my attention from waning. like the build up in the pads at the 1.40 mark then you get that lush dubby horn stab with just the right amount of delay. Break down builds up tension really well the stabs sit perfectly in that section. Second drop is a bit of an anticlimax for me, I see how you have switched up ideas from the first section but don't think the switch up is enough for me. Second breakdown is great again and the tension reasserts itself for me. Again, final drop falls a bit short of my expectations based on the second breakdown. Overall, good vibe, not for the dace floor but that scarcely matters to me these days.

@Nitz, bit too airy fairy of an intro for me. Well produced, but far too happy (it's clearly a vibe you're feeling though so don't think it detracts from the production quality). Think the mad snare programming gets a bit adhd at times, as I've said before, I find the whole 808 style percs a little tedious these days and the snare shouts 808 to me.
good ideas, well executed, stunning piano melody on the bridge, just not my thing if you get me.

Leave Blank wrote:@chekov, Jeez the sub and kick sit well together, maybe a tiny bit too much decay on the verb of the kick for my tastes but it aint a big issue. Vocals are haunting. Love the stabs, proper dubtechno style. Really good track, 320? Sort of ting i'd play on my radio show.
thanks a lot, i'll send it over once it's finished! i'm not so sure about the verb on the kick either, sounds almost trance-y in the breakdown
cheers for the feedback

liking that track you posted, sounds good at 111bpm

got another WIP here, wouldn't mind some feedback on it if that's cool

Soundcloud

i haven't really started structuring it yet, just been building loops and stuff. would really appreciate any thoughts on the sub in particular, i'm not sure if it sits that well or is audible enough the whole time
