Locked Soundsystem

2008-2012

R.I.P

The Locked Soundsystem was North Wales' first dedicated dubstep and bass music collective. Started by three friends; Matt Richards (Deficit), Matthew Clark (Maff C) & Robin Roberts (Akuma) the soundsystem grew from strength to strength leading the crew to take their sound as far as the Outlook festival in Croatia. For over four years the Locked Soundsystem pioneered the very forefront of UK underground bass music in and around Bangor in North Wales. Due to personal differences crew members decided to part company.

The project was shevled in early 2012.

Big up to everyone involved.

:( no way

I remember stumbling in on these guys at outlook 2010 when I was glowstick weilding bro fan. They completely changed my perception of music over the course of an hour and were the group that made me really want to explore soundsystem culture. I never got a chance to see them again and I guess I never will now :(

R.I.P Locked, I owe you so much.

Means a lot man!

There are still a few podcasts over here for the sake of nostalgia:

Alas. The original Locked Soundsystem crew is no more, but I'm sure you'll hear from us each as individuals, along with new projects in the future.

Big up.
