After listening again though, it could all be from 1 synth, just different notes and played differently.

the choppy noise thing?rekon wrote:Hey!
I have been trying make this certain effect with whitenoise and its been bugging me for ages.
I first heard it in rekoils tunes but a good example of this is at 1:08 in this:
I've actually got something similar to that sound, basically in massive the sound relies on assigning envelopes to the wave table positions and intensity.JicloTutorials wrote: How on earth do I make the sound that starts at 1:22 in this amazing song?

Massive tubes are useful for it tooblinkesko wrote:If I remember correctly (I dont have a computer with massive here atm) it is 2 sine waves from massive, one is tuned down two octaves. Then it's just sine shaper (maybe parabolic shaper?), drive all the way up or something, and that's the really basic sound. Then it's just effects to taste. Hope I remembered correctly, been a couple months since I made this sound >.<
Edit: osc 1 +24 osc 2 -24 sine shaper 50% 50% mess around and stuff hehe

np! that enigma bassline is most likely a reese with a low pole LP filter modulating it. You can get something similar with detuned square waves (I don't think it would sound that fat) or slightly distorted and phasing sine waves.roartiz wrote:Okay I almost thought in the last example it was a reese, but I wasn't sure because I'm still new to all of this. I really appreciate your help and look forward to a long stay on this forum! Cheers!
