work haven't even collared me over the stuck in Tenerife episode and its making me a bit anxious as to why they haven't even pulled me into a meeting room.

also could do with getting over that 49 year old cougar ASAP

I think if you were being fired you would have been given some indication by now.
Chances are you're doing a good job as Wub has said and they're just taking the days you took as leave.

ofcourse mate. the first person i called once i realised i lost it in the departure lounge was my TL (mid panic attack btw) and she showed no sign of sympathy and said to let them know.

i emailed her throughout the week i was stuck and she didn't respond ONCE so the only way that i acknowledged she understood the situation was when my old boy called her up to explain that it was entirely his fault (even then he said he could tell she was a cold one)

fuck the dick head.

but he was hired on the strength of his degree tbf

Fair, that is pretty decent for starting...more specialised = more cash. Had a mate who was in New Media Recruitment until the crash, properly raking it in.

My mate just set up his own construction recruitment company with his mate. Minted. Everyone he's ever worked with - minted.

An ex colleague of his has a company that turned over £2 mill in its first year (he says).

Another of his ex colleagues set up in Dubai a couple of years ago and is also raking it in.
