I was too lazy in school, didn't go to uni but discovered the motivation of turning a pay cheque into funtimes and am now a live motherfucker. Its never too late to find some motivation.

i guess so, well that's i've been telling myself. but have i done anything to rectify it? sigh, i just feel like a child as i haven't even figured out what it is i want to do, but its past that point now where i feel it's too late, beginning to accept a job in tescos for life...

when i see these people and friends who did well in their a-levels and went to red brick unis to do respected courses and think about how proud their parents must be it gets to me. and just how easy it was for all of them, and why the fuck i couldn't have just done it. i mean, it's not exactly hard. i'm not thick or academically incapable , nothing grabbed my attention and i just grew disillusioned by the system and societal pressures... but i'm not better off for it.

ive stopped telling myself it'll all work out in the end.

edit: fuck top post whining

Easy? Wouldn't call it easy at all. Unless they're born into it, that is.

When you think about, a good University really isn't that hard to get into on the condition you show a bit of dedication and have it planned.

Dude. I went to sixth form because I couldn't be arsed to work at 16. Didn't give a single fuck about A Levels, knew I didn't wanna go to uni at the end. Fucked around, worked part time at BHS, had fun, got a D & C at A2, and a D at AS level. Didn't know what I was gonna do until it happened really, had my last exam, applied for jobs, went to an interview, got it. All the people getting 3 A's at A2 level... where are they now? Working at the same shops they did before they went to uni. Me and my mate, both in similar brackets, he hardly turned up, and I might sound like a dickhead, but I know for a fact we're earning far far more than ANYBODY else that went to our college in our year, and we're both in respected positions within our companies.

Can't say it's massively fun, but it's a more than comfortable wage which means I'm able to do fun shit outside of work without worrying about whether this is eating into my food budget.

I'm guessing your experience was similar to mine. Nobody ever told you that there was any way other than uni or doing extra courses at college, nobody ever tells you that actually, you can piss around, stumble into something, get your head screwed on, be good at what you've got and have a great life/job. Age is on your side too.

Basically, fuck the world bro, find something and be good at it. Red brick uni can't teach you how to do that.
