The Tropikilla EP will be available in digital shops everywhere on October 1st, 2012.

Artwork created by Kazilla.

The tropical heat of South Florida has lead to the birthing of many bastard offspring of Miami Bass music. In 2012 the sound of reggae, dancehall, dubstep, jungle and reggaeton have fused, creating something new from something old and familiar. somejerk is Miami, and he has demonstrated the culmination of these flavors in the first release from Signaflo, entitled the Tropikilla EP.

"Oh oh oh" is a futuristic dance-hall riddim with bits of chopped up vocals dancing with an irresistible series of rhythm sections, booming bass and wall shaking wobbles. "Tropicannibus" has the sensibility of a modern drum and bass track at reggaeton's tropical tempo; smoked out but upbeat, this one will get the dance moving. "Uh huh" is melodic and dark but that won't keep people from moving moving to it's infectious groove, lush horns and Ed Rush and Optical influenced bass line. "You know" takes on the club with it's booming 808 bass line and straight ahead drum programming while the chorus lets you know that "my love is what you want".
