hmmm. fl studio works great. it's awesome for mix downs and mastering even. it does everything I want it to do with my midi instruments and I've even recorded whole bands with my analog mixer and fl studio. I'm sure we've all heard this. I'd say this is some good ass dubstep made with fl studio

dubstep is very possible in fl. all you need to do is make a beat at 140 and set a groovy bass line

Of all the great artists that use FL studio, you chose that song to represent some 'good ass' dubstep.

Come on man, Ephixa is indeed generic as fuck, BUT that track is an absolute killer and if that 'listen' sample doesn't put a smile on your face it's not because of the song. It's because you're traumatized by your shitty childhood because your poor-ass parents would't buy you a nintendo 64.

Okay, sorry man, went to far there. Pretty passionate about my Zelda, hah. 's all good :w:

I would love Ephixa to do more zeldastep songs after hearing his Dragon roost island remix. absolutely amazing stuff. I'm considering doing some zeldastep, got some pretty kick ass ideas for a ballad of the goddess/zelda's lullaby remix.

It's a remix of a Zelda tune. That definitely doesn't deserve a subgenre. Also the original songs are so much better than all the remixes imo

To add to the topic, Cyberoptics said it quite well with this picture - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid= ... =1&theater

i really don't like having to deal with people who either think I'm amazing for using FL Studio ("how do you get that sound using FL?!?!"), or an idiot for the same reason, because honestly it's a great DAW. The only downside to me is the lack of precise audio-editing options, but I use Sound Forge for that.

Also, that song really isn't that great, it's too whiny.

All songs made in FL studio, I'm not saying they're amazing I'm just showing how you can create many sounds with it. I used Ableton, Logic, and Reason, but I have most fun and ease using FL, mostly because I love the interface and how fast you can create tracks. It has its downsides but with the right plugins you can make good songs with any DAW :W:

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. Also, what's wrong with calling it zeldastep?

just being honest. who the fucks blasts a midrange driven zelda remix on a system? that's headphone business man, dubstep is (or should be) all about system bass and deep vibes. don't sample videogames unless you are burial.

lol. Oh you/ ()Insert you face here()

I hit myself a few times in the face thinking that zeldastep would become an actual sub genre.
I almost wanted to break my glass, but then I realized it had chocolate milk in it. That was too good not to drink.
