This is beyond words. Totally crazy
I don't really have anything to add, but I thought some of the musicians here would like to read it.

Anyone know where the inventor tune is? If anything we can atleast "dislike" it on Youtube (and possibly throw in a few angry comments)

this doesn't surprise me. The music industry is run by lawyers, so people without access to them will lose out every single time.

You mean the other way around right? Inventor's "version" isn't on youtube. Maybe it's time t put it up with a link to the original and to the Flashbulb's blogpost.BudSpencertron wrote:i have to beat the shit out of you now for name droppingInternetSlaveMaster wrote:I don't think it's on Youtube, but I found it on Beatport... what a dumbass, keeps the original song title? This coudl happen to ANY of us though. Which is scary. Like The Flashbulb said, there's really no reason this lawsuit should actually be taking place.

Re: Flashbulb's latest blog on the digital music selling ind
sorry for g. a. y. again
Re: Flashbulb's latest blog on the digital music selling ind
I don't agree with this at all but I just listened to both tracks and "Inventor" did more than "put bird sounds on it" to be fair to him, although the way he's renamed the track to "ft. Flashbulb" is lame as fuck, if anything it should be "Undiscovered Colours (Inventor Bootleg)" or something similar and definitely shouldn't be for sale without authorisation.

Re: Flashbulb's latest blog on the digital music selling ind
This is terrible. Not to be that guy who is industry illiterate but shouldn't this be open and shut?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example)
Flashbulb posted his song to the internet on July 9th, 2011.
Flashbulb does not work with 'Inventor' or the record label.
'Inventor' posts the same song on September 10th, 2011 (After Flashbulb's ORIGINAL version has been on the internet). Does not give any credit, and says (feat. Lightbulb).
'Inventor' is a douche who stole at least 70% of a song. (assuming everything played out like I imagined it did)

Am I right?

Re: Flashbulb's latest blog on the digital music selling ind
seriously foulplay stole peoples tunes without consent last time
now they sign an artist who ripped off someone (assuming thats true)
seriously how do they have a contract with most digi outlets still?
if anything it does reflect how shit most digital outlets are!

Same thing happened with me :/ It was solved in the end however i do not know if any profit was made from my song. The guy who did it was this guy http://www.youtube.com/user/TheOfficialElluzion kind of annoyed how he still gets a lot of fans.
Re: Flashbulb's latest blog on the digital music selling ind
Wow... amazing that Foul Play is still up to this shit.

I jokingly suggested the whole "go to his show and kick his ass" thing 2 years ago and yet - he's still out there fucking over people.
So...

Is it worthwhile to attempt to organize a lockout on this douche and anybody associated with him? I mean a total boycott of shows, merch, etc.? Why or why not?
