Re: Dmz 029
I'm fairly sure the Loefah triple was just speculation/hope. He said he had something he'd been working on during the Benji B Swamp81 showcase in like 2010 which he was planning to release before the end of that year (I'm presuming he was referring to Dog Money), but as far as I'm aware no triple pack was ever mentioned by Loefah or anyone in DMZ.

Harvest

Harvest is such forward thinking dubstep track, a very Richie hawtin style techno vibe to it, cannot get enough of that snare maynee
And tombstone is a masterpiece, those drum rolls kill me every time.
The fact if the matter is mala has enough material to release another return to space lp so I am not holding too high hopes for a loefah release even though I'd be loving it if that were to be the case

He mentioned it in an interview with Blackdown, it wasn't an entire album though, just two tunes.ariosa wrote:where did he say this, is there proof anywhere? this would be amazing.Geey wrote:Tbf he also said him and burial would release a remix album for kryptic minds.Marcus wrote:How long a go was this?oscarhenson wrote:loefah has said himself that he has a dmz release lined up
Re: Dmz 029
Ironically, Loefah is asked in the same interview if it's going to be one of those Burial projects that are talked about but then never surfaces and he replies that it's definitely happening.LumiNiscent wrote:He mentioned it in an interview with Blackdown, it wasn't an entire album though, just two tunes.ariosa wrote:where did he say this, is there proof anywhere? this would be amazing.Geey wrote:Tbf he also said him and burial would release a remix album for kryptic minds.Marcus wrote:How long a go was this?oscarhenson wrote:loefah has said himself that he has a dmz release lined up
Here's the interview: http://blackdownsoundboy.blogspot.se/20 ... oefah.html
B: It’ll be interesting because the list of people Burial has collaborated with is in double figures now. The number of those collaborations that he has allowed to come out is zero. I’m not going to spoil it by saying names on the record but the point it… good luck.
L: To be honest a lot of people have said that to me. I chat to him every day and he’s around here a lot.
S: It is going to happen.
L: Without a doubt. Me and Burial are bringing out a release remixing Si’s tracks and it should be in the shops in about four months.
[...]
L: Originally this 12” was going to be one side his remix the other side mine but now we’re going to do one side Loefah v Burial the other side Burial v Loefah.

aside from classic dubplates (jah power, stand against war, drunken swagger, etc), this would be my favorite for a release. harvest is madnessGeey wrote:Harvest

I really really hope it's Jah Power. But I agree with Phig, I'm happy with about anything as long as it isn't Coki.

I was agreeing that any tune would be good, I just added that I personally don't want to see any Coki. SorryPhigure wrote:^thats not really what I said but okay

Re: Dmz 029
I'd prefer a Mala or Loefah plate as we've had a lot of Coki recently (last year or two) but are you seriously saying you wouldn't be happy if one of the sides was 'Prince Of Persia'?!SCope13 wrote:I'm happy with about anything as long as it isn't Coki.

I think we'll all still be here discussing 90% of the same lost plates in 5 years.

Re: Dmz 029
well word got put out a few weeks ago on a blog (can't remember which) that Loefah would be number 29, so my friend who runs with the Vagabondz lot asked him about it when they were all chilling after their last night in Leeds and he confirmed he had one forthcoming soon. Can't remember if he said it would definitely be 029, but he definitely said it was well on its way to happening.Marcus wrote:How long a go was this?oscarhenson wrote:loefah has said himself that he has a dmz release lined up
