Slime is proud to present a bright new talent straight out of Somerset by the name of Bhok. When we first heard his melodic take on garage we knew he was going to fit right in on the label, but when we heard the two tracks he delivers for his debut release for the first time it was love at first listen.
'Glacier' rolls in on subdued chords and glittering keys before the vocal refrain slides in, and that's it for you. It will never leave your brain after you've heard it once. Seriously. Built over a skittering garage beat, the melody builds and builds, with vocals and vibes in full effect - and that's before the half-step bridge comes in to destroy the dancefloor. A classic in the making.
'All For You' takes a darker route, with an oscillating melody strapped to a robust 2-step groove. A simple vocal loop keeps the rhythm bubbling, with off-kilter piano licks and FX bringing the swing. This one is a tough little cookie perfect for building the vibe up on the floor.
