beginner looking for advice

Post by charles1 » Wed Oct 24, 2012 4:57 pm

Hello everyone. this is my first post on the forum. i did read the stickys at the top of the page and it seems like this is an appropriate topic for this particular forum, but if im mistaken, please move it to the right one!

ive been listening for a long time and i just recently decided i want to try producing my own. i used ableton live for the trial period and decided to purchase that. im doing alright with the content they give you, but obviously im pretty limited. can anybody recommend to me some good live sample packs that i might be interested in?

What kind of sample packs are you looking for?
If you just got ableton and only have the live version, I would recommend purchasing or downloading the trial of a vst synth like sylenth, zebra, massive, or fm8 because theres really nothing good to use in ableton besides operator.

I'm not an ableton user, I use FL Studio, but if you're familiar with the basic concepts of audio production there's no reason I can't help you out, free of charge, I like talking production for the sake of reinforcement and talking production... anyways, PM me your skype and timezone/best time to chat and I'll hit you up.
