got my copy today. i noticed that the heights of the vocals sound pretty distorted and rough. is that just my pressing?

If I'm honest, the pressing isn't the greatest.
I think I've bought this vinyl out of our hype.. Shame on me.

I noticed some distortion on the vocals at first but after adjusting the tonearm I immediately experienced quite an unrepentant skank.
"At our dance, no one's watching anyone really. They're just there in their own space having a good time... It's not like an old rave where everyone wants to come and hug you and be your friend. There's no moodiness. Not in our dance... It's just purely sound."

the vocals on mine are a tad distorted at times and a bit too much bass but i still sat down with that thing dimmed the lights and it was thoroughly enjoyable. nothing like playing a fresh white label. Thanks Coki :Q:
I found a way to get piece of mind for years and left the hell alone, turn a deaf ear to the cellular phone

this again? :? i'm not complaining about coki records sounding shit, i'm complaining about bad pressings in general. i pay effing money for that, so of course i expect to get a proper product. if you're content with spending your cash on poor quality, that's your buisiness.
apart from that it's extra tragic when a tune of this kind, a genre anthem that's finally released after so many years, gets such a poor mixing/mastering/pressing. of course it's a great release and of course i'm gonna play it anyway, but it's still an ugly scar on a perfect tune. shame... :(

mate i swear my copy plays perfect no distortion hiss not too much bass nothing. i am super picky about my sound as you may remember the MALA in cuba thread and i promise you it's all round perfect. bit late now but tomorrow morning i will av another listen to mine but as i said b4 i'm proper picky bout my sound and especially when it concerns a top tune. i only played it once but i was just so happy that it sounded perfect. :?
i thinks there may just be a batch that got fucked somehow?? never really heard of it before but i swear a burial album can't remember what 1 had to be repressed due to distortion or sumthing. i doubt dry cry will get repressed, but if it turns out that x amount got pressed dodgy he may say fuck it and do more.

How'd the new one sound? I'm at uni so won't get to listen to this til I go home at Christmas :(

Be gutted if mines distorted, such a massive tune.
