'The Wild Knights are without a doubt the most exciting new artist we have heard this year' - Mixmag

The Wild Knights are yet to have their first official birthday but the bass collective have already hit some high benchmarks in their eleven-month career. They have remixed some of the finest breakthrough bands; The Correspondents, Lazy Habits and Jennifer Left, all of which received support on Radio 1, XFM, Sub FM, Rinse FM and KISS. The Wild Knights were also on the line ups of some of the best festivals of 2012; Boomtown, Secret Garden Party, Gottwood and Playgroup festivals all witnessed the low-slung bass workout the production group are rapidly gaining great reputation for.

After the first original production outing, ‘Without’, which saw support from Rob da Bank, Rusko, The Nextmen, Rattus Rattus, Chris Coco, Roska and Laurent Garnier, October will see the release of a six track EP given away across the space of two weeks. Aimed towards both headphones and club dance floors alike, ‘Presence EP’ showcases the raw talent and diversity of the group with a variety of genres, all circulating around their distinctive bass melodies.

‘Love Struck’ opens the EP in style with lush textures and sublime sonic snippets melting over skittering garage beats. In contrast, the anthem ‘There’ sees big vocal hooks and huge chords power above 808 beats and growling bass creating a futuristic club cut, with a respectful nod to dance music’s golden past. The last of the three tracks sees the extremely talented Farrah add her distinctive sultry vocals to beautiful downtempo classic ‘Soul Riot’.

These are the first tracks from the six track EP, three more of which will be available next week. With constant rave reviews calling the package ‘real music’ and comparisons to SBTRKT, The Wild Knights are firmly on the bass music map and moving towards stardom at a rapid rate.
