Would you mind showing me where i did that apart from the forum page for showcasing ones tunes, and would you also mind telling me why you would have something against someone posting their tunes for review on a music forum where thousands of others are doing the same? You're a hypocrite. Theres no room in this world for hypocracy.

Bk on topic.

- You said you recently had a breakthrough with your music,, well thats great now perhaps its time to focus on something else so you can breakthrough on that.

If your just making beats and bass,,, but your not finishing your projects your not getting much experience at mixing down, perhaps have a look into this.

Dont be concerned with "Ive been producing X years thus i should be as good as producer Y" That thinking may get you motivated but wont help. It can take many many years to craft your own sound. It sounds like thats what you want, your own sound rather then being able to make great Yois and Growls.

Dont knock the tutorials tho, as you can learn something else by watching them,, For example you watch a synth tutorial on a sound you dont really want to make but they make use of something like Feedback and you think, "i never use that" ,, next time you have the chance you might reach for that feedback knob even if your not making a bass,

Just my 2cents .. Ive been at it for years and im not as good as i should be, but i dont mind i still enjoy doing it.

The other thing i would say is collab on projects with people, be prepared for those projects to fail but you will learn something, for me it was shortcuts i didnt know about. (like ctrl to copy and so on)

all the best to you.

and if your going to show people a track but before you send it you have to write "its not finished the hats are abit loud but il fix that later and the bass is off but what do you think?" ... just dont send it use the idea of sending it to self-critique and fix up ur track.

I'm a bit confused about what is troll and what isn't, anyway.

Sometimes I need a reminder that I'm an unsigned artist... The tune sounded good to me. Try adding some reverb on the snare. Some instruments could maybe be compressed together like drums and synths. If it were mastered (like throw a mb comp on the master), that would have helped with that, I suppose. Also try bouncing stuff down and editing the audio files, including a master bounce (see my sig for a somewhat extreme example).

If you want a method to improve yourself, set up a feedback loop. When you finish a tune or session, review/criticise what you hear, and update your process accordingly. Getting feedback from others like this (and acting on it) also works. Apparently alot of successful people had some kind of feedback loop. I'm a fan of giving general life advice which can be applied to the particular question, and again, a feedback loop is good general life advice.
