Re: What is the cheapest, most nutritious food?
I saw on a documentary there were ppl in zimbabwe who ate tree bark for want of anything else. didn't look particularly nutritious, but it's cheap as far as I know.

Nah, for the 3 months he ate them for he never once got sick of them, definitely a trooper. I have however lived with him for the past 2 years and haven't seen him touch an economy burger, so they may have left some bad memories with him haha.gnome wrote:Yeah iceland is dirt cheap. i find their budget meat in their ready meals taste a lot like I imagine dog meat to taste lol.Rob11 wrote:Your best bet is probably going Iceland and loading up on frozen veg, frozen fish and curly fries or something. I usually go Iceland and buy a bag of southern fried chicken, 2 bags of curly fries, frozen veg and 3 pizzas. That costs like 8/9 quid and will last you a few weeks.
My mate in first year had a similar problem to you. He ended up buying 100 economy burgers and a loaf of bread everytime he needed it and lived off burger sandwiches.
Your friend is a hero. Did he not end up getting sick eating economy burgers and nothing else?
Yeah, some of their ready meals are damn vile! I remember buying their curry ready meal (I think it was) and the amount of pepper I had to add was mental!

peanuts are very filling in between meals.
sardines on toast
plain cheerios and milk
tuna
potatos and a bag of frozen broccoli
bag of pasta and some cheap red sauce
baked beans and hot dogs together
grilled cheese sandwiches

Just because you are a character, does not mean you have character.
