Honestly, in my experience most hardcore band members are pretty cool people.rayman612 wrote:he said he doesn't like "hardcore shows" he didnt say "i can't stand hardcore at all"
seems like the reason you dont go to country western shows is that you don't like country western, not the people at the show
However, the people at the shows are usually total stnuc. Watched some 6'4 bro guy sucker punch some small fragile androgynous kid that wasn't even in the pit.
My general conclusion is that most people go to hardcore shows to feel macho, nothing else is gained.
NO respect at the shows.
But that's just my experience.

you must have a sucky local scene then tbh, any behaviour like that wouldn't be tolerated round here, don't get me wrong, the shows still get quite rowdy and people do sometimes get hurt but rarely is there any intention behind itReDead wrote:Honestly, in my experience most hardcore band members are pretty cool people.rayman612 wrote:he said he doesn't like "hardcore shows" he didnt say "i can't stand hardcore at all"

That's why I'm saying it's just my experience. I've only been to shows in Pittsburgh, PA, Morgantown, WV, and Baltimore, MD.particle-jim wrote:you must have a sucky local scene then tbh, any behaviour like that wouldn't be tolerated round hereReDead wrote:Honestly, in my experience most hardcore band members are pretty cool people.rayman612 wrote:he said he doesn't like "hardcore shows" he didnt say "i can't stand hardcore at all"

Every hardcore show has been: big frat bros, skinny androkids, scene kids, hipsters with gauges and flannels, and short guys with muscle shirts.

In london most hardcore heads look like 'proper geezers' in fred perry and adidas gear, was well funny when I showed my mate what london hardcore fans dress like, think he expected skinny emo kids, he was rather confused to say the leastReDead wrote:That's why I'm saying it's just my experience. hardcore shows are sweet if you're under 18, but after that they really suck (here anyways)

Depends on the bands mostly. Tbh I've seen more assholes trying to act tough at metal shows.

I'd provide links, but I don't want google images to think I'm into traps.
Basically, when you need to do a doubletake to figure out the gender.

Anyone go to the Four tet night at Brixton academy last night? I've never seen a DJ play to that many people inside before, was fucking mental. Best venue ever
