on the other hand, for $2k, buy a goddamn piano. or buy a $1,000 used piano, and $1000 worth of piano-ish plugins. People do learn to tune piano's, it's a learnable/teachable skill.
either way, piano!
Haha!! Hey Dave!
I know what you are saying - but as you pointed out, it is a lifestyle issue. My sister got the family piano (a beautiful Yamaha upright) because my brother didn't want it and I kept moving all the time. However, after a few moves, even my sister has admitted to grumbling about her "free gift" that has cost her so much.
And true - one can learn to tune the piano... but that is a pain in the ass as well. No offense to the OP (who I do not know) - but the number of people on this board who think a 320 is 'almost' as good as the full res... I don't think most people here have the patience or drive to develop their ear to that level. Hell, I already have the ear, and even I think it would be a major pain in the ass....
So yeah - I would love to own a piano... I miss having one, but it definitely is a costly lifestyle.
