I'm all for modern relationships/ gender roles etc but that fact I have ended up in a long term relationship where I am the sole cook and ironer is pretty dry

I feel like science in a lot of way has reached a wall, where to go on it must look at things from which it tends to recoil in disgust.

But yeah it does a great job of describing base reality and making it possible for us to make stuff. And it has to be said it did a great job of delivering us from the religious prison that the average person's life used to be. But what if the scientific paradigm has become the prison now to some extent? innit, safe

You have a point. In some ways though you could almost think of "scientific advancement" as a concept, and the kind of entrenched and narrow "scientific" mindset we are talking about to be separate things.

Well, we should nip this in the bud before anything gets out of hand.

The scientific minded see religious thinking as narrow minded and science seeks to understand all things.
The religious tend to think science is narrow minded and only religion can explain all things.

There is middle ground. Most people don't want to hear it.

It is interesting that some of the science community is showing an increasing interest in Buddhism, I think that may be indicative of imami's point about science hitting a wall in some ways.

Anyway, I didn't mean to kick off a discussion really, is volatile ground I know.

i'm not at all religious but i've always thought a more scientific stance would be agnosticism since there's no evidence to prove or disprove the existence of a higher power
hardcore atheists make me want to convert just to piss them off

found out i'm playing off cdj-200s on friday, they look TINY from the photos compared to 800/1000, hope i don't knock off the pitch fader when cueing/messing with the jog wheel (happened on 400s). Also, the lack of vinyl mode would be a tough one.
