To think that in a few years, there'll probably be a live Mars feed we can access online.. pretty crazy (and word, I know about the 10 minute delay). Not that I've heard of any plans about it, but it's pretty obvious that's gonna happen.

Don't know why that has to be in a few years. Sounds like something they could accomplish pretty quickly if they wanted to.

Is there a constant feed from the rover to Earth? Then yeah, I guess.

they certainly don't leave much to the imagination, considering they even tell you which instrument made the alleged discovery -w-

It's the Spectral Analysis Module. This is a chemistry/material composition device that uses the index of refraction to determine chemical contents. The implication is they probably found organic methane or something.
