Those pictures made me slightly jealousJohnlenham wrote:Thanks![]()
Few notes! Top one is inside part of the temple shown in pic 4.
That statue is apparently something like 3000 years old, it is as big as a house and is a Reprsentaion of Budda (like the cross for jesus)
One with the red cloths, thats the guys house with the national park. Everything you see behind the cloth is the national park!
You can pay something like £20 each to go do a night trek OR stay there and sit out drinking tea and the guy will point out animals with his torch![]()
One night he ran over to our room, banged on the door and called us out.
We thought we were being noisy but he just wanted to show us the heard of deer out on the fields grazing in the night!
Also he has a massive cage full of finches and other small birds that he says attract wild birds as they feel "safe" and a pond full of mosquito eating frogs and fish that keep the places free of them!
Actually loved that place![]()
One with my feet, bottom left is the road we walked up from. Took us like 4 hours but it was worth it!

Re: Wanderlust
Oddly enough, I've been to Cameron Highlands several times but have absolutely no recollection of what it looks like! Apart from a vague memory of a stream somewhere. Having said that, the last time I was there was probably over 20 years ago.
Re: Wanderlust
Any ninjas been to Crete? Any suggestions as to a good location to stay in for a couple days?

John, I'm surprised you were able to travel on your Toms. Mine don't have slip-grip and I ended up falling on my butt a few times.
Nice photos everyone!
Photos below are less random, I suppose.
Siem Reap, Cambodia:

- this monk was bathing the lady
Chang Rai, Thailand:

20 km trek in Sa Pa, Viet Nam:

- I enjoyed every bit of this.
Small village of Villa Gracia, Philippines (very close to my heart):

- this ride was fun and uncomfortable

Re: Wanderlust
I've been to Plitvice Lakes in Croatia, they are epic, was a bit touristy when I was there but you can bust up paths to the forest at the top of the waterfall, leaving all the wheezing fatties far behind. so so so epic..

Re: Wanderlust
I well annoyed I didnt go to that when I was over for Dimensions. I booked my flights and then a week later they put up about tours on the "off" days of the festival, when I arrived on the last "off" day evening
Also totally forgot I put pics in here. Im sure I have loads of other good ones that Ive forgotten.
Went to Scotland recently and the coastal areas where pretty mad, ill get some pics up at some point.
