"Well produced" is a subjective term.
Ficticious wrote:Cause all shit takes some time to produce well, not like you can just pop out a tune in half a day and have it sound absolutely amazing..unless you throw in no emotion and get lucky that someone is drunk enough to see it.
Time and effort = quality?

How do you determine emotion in a piece of art?

Hmm in terms of a serious discussion if we're going to go more in depth...

Time and effort (for most people...or in my personal opinion?) = Learning. The more you learn, the better the quality, the more time you put into a track the better it gets, the better it gets the more you start to notice stuff so you fix it but not on a whole level that will change the entire song to a completely different one just add different elements to keep the main line interesting....

Well produced is a subjective term, I'll agree with that one...Which is why it depends on the person (Don't know where I'm going with that idea.)

Emotion in a piece of art? That's a silly question ask the user what he was thinking at the time he made the song or how he was feeling.

Say your pissed off, maybe you'll make a heavy song
sad maybe you'll make a light deep sorrowful tune
happy maybe you'll make something upbeat
Just chillin maybe something nice to relax kick back and listen to.

It all depends on how the persons feeling at the time, you can kinda determine that in their tune.

Personally, if I have no connection to any emotion at the time I'm making a song I will struggle that's a fact.

This is basically saying that if you think a song is shit you are in fact wrong and that no song is shit and if you think it's shit you're just not listening to it correctly.

Bollocks.

I'll restate what I had said/agree'd upon in case ya skimmed over that..

"I believe that every song has at least one element in it that's worth listening to in a sea of shit."

What madeon said is different than my thoughts.

We all have opinions, nothing will always be good to everyone..Which I wish it could be..if I could find that damn perfect sound I would.

Which I'm now starting to realize...my thoughts are different...the fuck?
